About Us

Junction is a confluence of various cultures from East, West, North & South. It is a vibrant youthful exuberance, Unity in Diversity and Epitome of harmonious co-existence. Our logo signifies these principles with Rotary ideals at its core. Multicolour circular motif around Rotary wheel is a true reflection of our ethos, culture and idea of oneness. In this diverse world torn with strife and inequalities, Rotary principles are becoming all the more relevant to bridge the divide. Our logo exemplifies our ‘back to basics’ approach where nothing else matters but Rotary, a true harbinger of ‘Service above Self’.

Rotary Club of Bangalore Junction is a unique experiment in the Rotary World. Most of its charter members were existing Rotarians who firmly believed in the principles of Rotary, it’s 4 Way Test, its core values of Fellowship and Service to the Society and were keen to continue to live the dream. Thus, they came together to fulfill this dream and the club was chartered on 5th February 2010, with Sanjay Sinha as its first President. A Club chartered with 5 past presidents gave it one of its most defining character – . The Club also gratefully acknowledge the overall guidance  from Club’s Charter time DG, Rtn. Dr. S. Nagendra and the Club’s GSR Rtn. PP. Subramanyam.

Junction” was thought of as an apt name for a Club which wanted to involve itself in Fellowship and Service at all times – in a busy place like a Junction – connecting people, dimensions, directions and destinies.

Crossing” our magazine which celebrated its 100th edition last year, rhymed with “Junction” in chronicling the growth of the Club from a mere 35 members contributing many small projects sprinkled with a few medium ones to a 235 plus member Club and balancing many major projects at the same time, speaks of a smooth transition. The observer of this metamorphosis has been unchanged, Rtn. PP. H M Sharma continues to be its editor since inception, sums it up simply “As Junction performs – Crossing informs”.

In just 11 years, the club has attained “One of top 3 clubs amongst over 130 clubs in District 3190”.
